The Strawman Over-Dose: An Adventure in Madness

The Strawman argument is nothing new. It’s present day use, however, often takes one on a journey of madness. A madness unlike any other in any place at any time – or so it seems as it goes on and on and on. Will the journey never end? I beg that it might.

I’m not sure where the modern liberal came from, but I certainly wish there was a recall on the current model. The hatred… the willingness to lie with such sense of righteousness… is all a bit much to experience as a daily (and nightly) diet, as they linger everywhere waiting to pounce and proclaim whatever nonsense is the nonsense for the day. Don’t they ever rest? Perhaps they could snuggle with the Strawman and take a nap – a long nap in the field of cognitive renewal.

It is interesting when one launches into a Strawman argument, is called on it and then suggests the person doesn’t know what one is. Either the launcher had no clue or thought he could “brain toy” his proposed victim into utter frustration and submission. He picked the wrong target.

The game is on and it appears there is a Strawman training camp among us. A camp where people are programmed with misinformation & willingness to deceive with the air of righteousness.

Politicians and media seem to be taking the Strawman method to a new level, making statement of fact what actually isn’t fact, but mere allegation or lie. Truth seems to be of little concern. Say it… get the thought out there to be spread… and fade back into the woodwork. However, it is turning back on them more and more each day.

One example of the media-in-Straw comes to us from The New York Times. The NYT stated there was a wiretap and apparently thinks we are to believe. However, when Trump claims there is one – the New York Times abruptly claims there wasn’t? (Does the New York Times realize it is calling itself a liar, if it calls Trump one?) An interesting piece on the topic is by Kevin Jackson, NY Times DENIES ITS OWN REPORTING on Trump Wiretaps.”

We continue to hear about the Russian Collusion. Such irony.

The investigations have not found ANY evidence of ANY collusion between Trump (or his campaign) and Russia. When that is pointed out to the the anti-Trump politician & media crowd, the response is usually something to the effect – “that’s why we need an investigation.”

Reminds me of that Einstein quote: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”.

Now that Trump has agreed he or his campaign was wiretapped, we have the faithful anti-Trump group demanding he provide proof by Monday, March 13th. I don’t understand. He asked for an investigation, but he is not allowed one? Immediately it is determined (without investigation) there was no wiretap because a couple of guys in the government said so? Why didn’t they say so before? Why didn’t they say it at the onset of the claim? Why did they wait until Trump said it?

The media provides us mostly with slams to Trump and anyone associated with him, with a few countering those allegations. So, who is telling the truth? It can’t be both ways.

It would be easy to write an essay on this topic of the new Strawman method that involves more than simply Trump. It’s everywhere. It’s an over-dose of unsubstantiated or known false claims in the media and hot off politicians’ lips. It’s definitely an adventure in madness. May truth hijack the journey and return the world to sanity!

Time to Move On, Mr. President

President Obama at his anti-gun press conference (Official White House Photo)

It’s time to move on and out of the political realm you have over-seen for the past eight years, Mr. President. Two terms to a customer and you’ve had yours. You have. You really have. And, no matter how difficult it is for you to let go of your power – it’s up on January 20th. You do realize that, don’t you?

I know. I know it is difficult for you not to be in the lime light. And… what about your followers? What will they do without seeing you? What will they do without your voice to guide them in all ways? It will be a shock. There will be withdrawals. But then… all things must come to an end… even the reign of a president so self-admired as you. Yes, Mr. President, your term is at its end. You must move on.

Okay, I’m sure you will worry about us. What will we do without your superior intelligence and willingness to make all our decisions for us. Don’t worry. We’ll figure it out. You just go on, ’cause – it is time for you to move on.

I get it! You envy the senators and representatives who get to remain after you move on. You want to be the hero leading the charge. However, their terms aren’t up – yours is. It’s your turn to move on, if I haven’t mentioned it before.

Don’t worry – I’ll think about you from time to time, especially when I hear the names Gates, Martin, Brown, Ferguson, Baltimore, Sharpton, BLM, Holder, Lynch, Clinton, ObamaCare, ACA, Iran, Lerner, Jarrett, Weiner and so on. Yes, you’ll be right there on my mind, as I am sure you will be on the minds of others. Your true legacy will be intact. It will be saved for you and only you. Honest.

Now…

Take a deep breath. On your mark. Get ready. Get set. Time to move on, Mr. President. Bye!

Will the Madness of Radical Liberalism Never End

Trump won. It is reality. It doesn’t matter if people like it or not. It doesn’t matter if liberals (some allegedly paid) take to the streets and destroy every city block in every city throughout the US. Nothing is changed. Nothing except the new ways that the liberals try to change the results to fit their reality. New ways like the alleged death threats to members of the electoral college and Dr. Jill Stein’s sudden last minute recount demands to supposedly ensure the integrity of the election. The madness is upon us and only getting more bizarre.

According to The Detroit News article, “Michigan electors cite threats over Trump vote“, (Michael Gerstein – 11/17/16) Michael Banerian has received numerous emails wishing him to change his vote – some even threatening him if he didn’t.

“You have people saying ‘you’re a hateful bigot, I hope you die,’ ” he said. “I’ve had people talk about shoving a gun in my mouth and blowing my brains out. And I’ve received dozens and dozens of those emails. Even the non-threatening-my-life emails are very aggressive.”

The Detroit News verified one message containing a death wish and another containing a death threat, in which the person told Banerian he would “put a bullet” in his mouth. Banerian said he deleted the rest of the emails and messages “because as you can imagine they’re clogging up my email.”

Are we to assume the radical liberals misread the memo that suggested the Trump supporters would turn violent and thought it was a call for them to do so? Or… perhaps… it is the radical liberal that is prone to the violence they claim of others.

Banerian is merely one of the victims of the liberal attack. There are others. Simply put – one is too many. It isn’t acceptable behavior by anyone or any side. It needs to be stopped and it needs to be stopped immediately. As a matter of fact – those who threatened violence – should be arrested. Perhaps a visit in the local jail and appearance before a judge will finally lead them to realization that threatening someone’s life is actually a serious matter that gets people in serious trouble – even them.

But who knows.

Modern day radical liberals seem to live in some other universe, where they see themselves entitled to have all things their way at all times.

Truth and integrity seem to be irrelevant.

Intolerance is their way of life as hate is spewed in the name of love and tolerance.

Irrational is a kind description as the liberals stand with those who kill women, children and gays, while calling the conservative a threat and so awful for having offended by word or differing opinion.

The radical liberal can’t seem to accept a loss. Instead, this type of person appears to seek out technicalities to destroy wins they don’t like. Dr. Jill Stein seems to have joined the latter group with her last minute attempts to call for recounts in three states. Not surprising, the three states she picked are ones that Trump won.

Liberals have asked what Trump supporters are scared of. Unbelievable. The radical liberal trying to play innocent, when the death threats, riots and destruction makes quite clear they are not.

The madness is no longer a mere annoyance. It is destroying our country. It is destroying our relationships. It has no path to righteousness, justice or the pursuit of happiness. It is time to stop the movement of insanity and tantrums and return to logic and common sense. With Trump – the one who fairly won the election – we shall have a chance to escape the madness of radical liberalism and return to the United State of America where PC once again stands for Personal Computer.

The madness of radical liberalism is on notice.

Time for change.
