Control Grab: Politics of the Self-Serving
According to the Washington Post article, “Biden, in Connecticut, makes fiery plea for gun control in speech near Newtown”, VP Joe Biden is quoted as saying:
“I can’t imagine how we will be judged as a society if we do nothing,” Biden said. “If you’re concerned about your political survival, you should be concerned about the survival of our children. And guess what? I believe the price to be paid politically should go to those who refuse to act. . . . The American people are with us.”

Well, I, on the other hand, can’t imagine how we will be judged as a society due to self-serving politicians using the horrific deaths of innocent children to push through their control agendas. Such politicians should be ashamed of themselves.
It wasn’t a gun owner that killed the little children in Newtown, Connecticut. It was merely a kid, who took guns that did not belong to him. A kid that apparently had mental issues. The latter being what the focus should be on. What made him capable of such horrors? What set him off and sent him on the crazed killing spree of innocent ones? Were there any signs? Was there any stopping him or was there a tragedy just waiting to happen one way or another?
Law-abiding gun owners did not kill the victims of Sandy Hook Elementary, yet they are being held accountable as if they did.
Biden can’t imagine how our society will be judged if the politicians don’t swiftly restrict the lawful gun owner? The gun owner that hadn’t a thing to do with the devastation?

What about the mental illness and illogical thought that is the core to such horrendous and tragic incidents being played out? That’s where the killings begin, not what law is on the books for the law-abiding citizens that just happen to exist in the same world as those who are prone, or could be prone, to acting out in such an unspeakable fashion.
It bears repeating…
The gun may have been the weapon of choice for some, but never doubt that a troubled mind bent on killing, will find a means and a method. It’s time to deal with the real problem – the troubled mind – rather than playing politics with tragedies such as the one that played out at Sandy Hook Elementary.
Shame on the politicians who are using the innocent little ones to push through a personal agenda. One day, reason shall return and you shall be judged within its light. When that happens, you shall find that fancy words, polls, ads and propaganda will no longer serve you. The people will be onto you and your motives. You shall then be scorned and mocked. Your hopeful legacy shall be invalidated.

Madness
Madness looks into my eyes and speaks with drooling words of pure deceit. It thinks I shan’t know or notice? Does it suppose that once it utters its blatant lies that they shall somehow become the ultimate truth to touch reality now and in all tomorrows to be?
Oh, to wonder what it thinks is to chase the empty shadows of the night. There is no reason within the thoughts to grasp or to hold, nor to define as any sense of sanity possessed.
Oh yes, madness tells me I did all that I did not and that I said all that never touched my lips or even my silent thoughts. It does say though whatever it will and demands that I willingly agree. All must be my fault, after all, for it is the god of all that is enlightenment that says such to be so, and I am only one that travels in servitude through their world of the elite privilege and dominate control.
I am no one in the eyes of the self-appointed enlightened, who writes and rewrites history and the claims of a truth to fit whatever is to its benefit at any given moment.
Madness shakes in uncontrollable response, as I dare to refuse its lies and deceit to become mine or to shade anything I have done or said. It calls out that I must… I must… I must agree to its claims and do as it bids for “it is the right thing to do”.
As the drool slides down its distorted face of madness, I smile. I turn. I walk away. I leave it in the darkness of the night to chase the shadows of nothingness that it has become. I leave it there to destroy itself, as I walk into the rewards of truth that shines upon the day and the world that is mine and perhaps yours as well.

Reid & The Obligation: The Insanity Continues
It’s Friday, March 1, 2013, and the insanity is still evolving.

During a news conference on Capitol Hill held on the eve of implementation of the cuts, known on Capitol Hill as “The Sequester,” a reporter asked Reid: “Can you understand the frustration of the American people that you’re blaming the Republicans, the Republicans are blaming you and nobody is talking until the day that these cuts kick in?”
Reid replied: “You know I read an editorial today, and I don’t know whether it was the Times or the Post, where the op-ed writer said, ‘You know, let’s call it the way it is. The Republicans aren’t willing to deal with the Democrats.
“So all this stuff–Democrats aren’t doing anything, Republicans aren’t doing anything–I believe that you guys have an obligation to report it the way it is,” he said.
“This isn’t something that happened yesterday, we’ve been fighting this for a couple years,” Reid added. “They’re unwilling to do what the American people want done. And it’s as simple as that.”
Yes, Senator Reid, it would be nice if the entire media reported things the way they are. You and Pelosi might just be out of a job and wondering what went wrong, if they did.
The Democrats readily dismiss budgets and plans proposed by Republicans and don’t pass a budget for how many years now, Mr. Reid? But it is the Republicans fault because they won’t do what the American people want? Really, we are to take your word? How about when you got up there and said that Romney needed to prove he paid taxes because he didn’t — yet he had? Maybe that little invisible friend of yours has told you wrong again.
The sequester idea came from Obama and his team, but to hear the campaign rhetoric, it would seem we are to forget that little bit of information and just blame the Republicans because they won’t do what Obama and followers want.
With regard to Bob Woodward’s disagreement with the White House, there is a statement that stands out:
“What does that matter now?” It matters a great deal when elected officials and their teams are trying to rewrite history and cast blame on others. Yes, that’s something that matters a great deal. So, just like with the fact that the White House should take responsibility for the sequester proposal — other Democrats like yourself, Mr. Reid, should take responsibility for your irresponsibility and lack of action in the past four or five years.
Where, Mr. Reid, is the passed budget that the law required and you ignored?
It is time that the lost media get back to journalism where one reports the facts, rather than blindly accepting the talking points of those who are trying to redefine our nation, rewrite history, cast blame on others, play down the inconvenient facts, insult and insinuate in the face of opposition, and rely upon selective polls that represent what they want them to represent.
Yes, Mr. Reid, you got one thing right. The media has an obligation to report on the facts and the tactics being utilized in Washington, D.C. Are you sure you are ready for that?

It Must Be Bob Woodward’s Fault
I have just finished reading, “Journalist Bob Woodward Clashes With White House Over Sequester Report” by Devin Dwyer, and find it both disturbing and expected. It must be Bob Woodward’s fault because Obama & his administration never are at fault.
One portion of the article that caught my attention was:
White House officials have downplayed Woodward’s account, saying that no threats were intended and that the original impetus for the email to Woodward was to apologize for an earlier heated phone conversation. And while the administration does not directly dispute Woodward’s reporting, officials believe he is focusing on a moot point.
“What does that matter now? Not much,” senior Obama adviser Dan Pfeiffer told reporters Sunday of the debate over who concocted the sequester.
“What does that matter now?” Didn’t Hillary Clinton say, “What difference, at this point, does it make?” when asked about the people being lied to about Benghazi? When caught, “ask what it matters”and try to make the questioner look to be making something out of nothing, seems to be part of the game plan.
What matters is that the sequester was Obama’s baby, but when it didn’t go as planned, the campaign was to blame the Republicans. It was, after all, their fault for not allowing Obama to have his way, was it not?
People have a right to the truth — not the events rewritten and presented as what it is not — truth and honesty.
Here’s a beauty of a comment:
Former Obama campaign spokeswoman Lis Smith also opined: “Woodward deserves a lot of credit for taking a macro story about DC dysfunction, competing econ theories & making it all about him,” she said.
Do these people go to school to earn degrees in demand for absolute submission, shifting blame, disrespect and insults?
Bob Woodward isn’t a nobody blogger. He is a highly respected investigative journalist. A journalist that apparently didn’t go along with the propaganda. And when he didn’t go along with the made-up version of the sequester talking points, the Obama team apparently thought threats and bullying were in order? Adding to the pot of seemingly inappropriate behavior –when caught — the White House & campaign team starts throwing out insults and trying to make it look like Bob Woodward got it all wrong or is trying to make it about himself? What a sham and a shame.
The bullying and dishonesty coming from the White House is apparent and needs to be stopped. Perhaps the inexcusable treatment of a respected journalist like Bob Woodward will open eyes and set the journalists on fire. Perhaps the Woodward incident will be the beginning of the end for the once eager propaganda machine we have been witnessing the past few years. Yes, perhaps the journalists will now get back to journalism and the search for “actual” truth and the integrity some media personnel lost along the way.
The chatter is Bob Woodward’s fault. He stood up and presented the facts… the truth. How many others will follow his example? How many others will have his courage? Time will tell.

Carrie’s Take Comment: Once upon a time, somewhere in the past, neighbors helping neighbors was actually the norm. May we now be at the turning point and heading back towards the “good ole days” of compassion and looking out for each other.
The above story is heart-warming and gives true hope! Neighbors weren’t asked — they simply did! May they forever be blessed!
Time for Truth & Facts: ABC Allegedly Edits Michelle Obama
Interesting news is that Michelle Obama’s comments were allegedly edited by ABC.
According to Charlie Spiering, Commentary Staff Writer for The Washington Examiner :
In an interview with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts aired this morning, First Lady Michelle Obama recalled the tragic death of 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton who was shot and killed in Chicago after performing during the President’s Inauguration celebration in Washington D.C.
“She was caught in the line of fire because some kids had some automatic weapons they didn’t need,” the First Lady explained. “I just don’t want to keep disappointing our kids in this country. I want them to know that we put them first.”
Chicago police reported, however, that Pendleton was shot by a man who “opened fire with a handgun before fleeing in a waiting car” according to the Associated Press.
Once again, misinformation is given about the type of gun and who was responsible. It apparently wasn’t an automatic weapon and it wasn’t a kid. It was a hand gun and it was a man according to the reports Spiering was relying upon. So, what part of the truth is so difficult to comprehend and take into consideration? Or, is it that the Obamas and other gun control supporters are merely taking advantage of the crisis at hand and doing a little altering here and there to fit their preferred argument for more restrictions?
The politicians, their wives, the activists and lobbyists should all be held accountable for the misinformation they are trying to spread to gain support for what they personally want, rather than what is necessarily for the good of the people.
It’s time that the “misinformation” be addressed, rather than merely ignoring or editing out inconvenient statements as first done by NBC & now ABC. It’s time truth and facts get air-time and Running Man like behavior stay in the movies where it belongs. This is, after all, “real life”, not some action movie meant to entertain for a couple of hours. On the other hand, the Running Man plot sure seems eerily familiar.
Obama: Another Dr. Phil Fad?
Oprah Winfrey, a few years back, catapulted Dr. Phil into a massive fad that no one could seemingly escape. His pictures… his books… his everything was everywhere. It appeared there was no escaping this alleged expert on everything from relationships to diets to how to overwhelm the store aisles with his likeness. Oh, the world was indeed in love with Dr. Phil and his advice became what some hung onto as though it was God’s own gospel with, “Dr. Phil said …“ Yes, “Dr. Phil said…” was almost as everywhere as his face and his books and his everything.
Then Oprah gave us Barack Obama as her golden one for president. Suddenly his pictures…. his books… his everything was and is everywhere. He’s supposedly an expert on so many things, but most wouldn’t know about that it would seem. He has sealed his records, so we only know about what he wants us to know and little more if anything at all. We’re just supposed to take his word, and his handlers’ words, that all is as presented or alluded to by any and all of them.
It’s amazing how fads can be carefully crafted and presented to be what will make them sell, rather than entirely what they are. Just how much is truly known about these fads Oprah gave us? Anything, or is it kind of like assuming Robin was Dr. Phil’s first wife, though she really wasn’t? Likewise how much about Obama is really not as assumed either? One can only wonder.
Maybe when the sparkle wears off, we’ll actually see the core, rather than the illusion that was carefully crafted and sold to the eager public hungry for whatever seemed to be lacking in their lives at that particular time. Or, maybe the public will just move on to their new hero of the day and leave the guru and the so-called messiah to fade into the distant past where people are no longer fascinated and wonder why they ever were.

Does your cruelty to he and to me feed some hungry darkness within your heart and soul? Does it give you utter pleasure to deny such a small gesture of love and comfort to he and to me – we whom you have such devastating and merciless power over this day and days that have been? Oh does the thrill carry you into ecstasy of sinful delight?
I can only wonder at the pleasure our misery has brought to your day. A misery you will be given credit for throughout eternity. Your moments are yours to behold this day and all days to come.
God, the ultimate judge of all things, will remember those loving touches denied for no other reason than could be denied!

Just WHO is in Charge Here: The People or Career Politicians
Something is mighty wrong! Just WHO is in charge? “We the People” or they — the “Career Politicians“?
We voted for the elected officials with the once upon a time belief they were going to be representing us. Instead, we keep finding out there are politicians 
that voted on ObamaCare without even knowing what was in the bill or how it might adversely affect “the people”. Did they even care? After all, they are allowed exclusion from what they are forcing upon us, so it’s no big deal, it appears.
Now, it seems there is possibly a secret discussion going on to push through gun control issues. “Secret”? Secret from us — the ones that are supposed to have our wishes represented? 
Secret from us — the people they are supposed to be listening to?
It’s always been questionable, but the “in your face” disregard for the opinion of the citizens, has gotten out of hand. It has become a statement by appearance & actions that once in office, some of these elected officials think their “ideology” is what is good for us little idiots that voted for them and they will decide for us, since our decider is defective and unenlightened. So, rather than represent us — they dictate to us and herd us to wherever they think we should be or to whatever they think should be done unto us.
I guess our “decider’s” are defective after all. We are the idiots that voted for these people with their little personal agendas. Maybe it’s time we tell them just who is in charge and that it is NOT THEM. Time to tell them their little games will no longer be tolerated. Next election, let’s vote for some trustworthy adults who understand they represent the people, not themselves and not whatever “cause” they “personally” support in spite of us!
Yes, next election, let’s take back our authority, vote for servants of the people and retire the career politicians who have forgotten who is supposed to be in charge. Yes, let’s retire them to the land of ObamaCare and the Gun Free Zones that they created and make sure they, too, get to share in their creations. Retire and unexempt them to the “real world” and “real results”. Maybe then they will see who the true idiots really are!
ACLU Declares ObamaCare to be Constitutional?
ACLU doesn’t appear to like people of religion much, especially if it be Christian in nature, so it’s not surprising they claim ObamaCare and its HHS mandate constitutional. This opinion though, is coming from a group that cried discrimination, or some such thing, involving (in the Kansas City area) an ordinance they helped write. Ooops! Change of mind? Time not to sue self? Big hope not many heard about this little boo boo?
I don’t know what came of the situation or how it got swept under the rug of “hush”, but it does prove a point. Just because the ACLU says something is or is not constitutional — does not make it so. It is merely their position and opinion. They, like everyone else, have to go to court and get a ruling. Well, unless they scare some little person or business with the threat of litigation that the later can’t afford. Then, they might win by “bulliness”, not because they actually had a fair and true case.
One thing I would like to hear the ACLU explain…
How is no co-pay for birth control not discrimination against those who have to pay a co-pay for life-saving meds?
If corporations can decide to be democrat or republican or a dem-pub and pick a candidate to donate money to, why can’t a corporation decide whether it wants to be secular or religious? And, if it wants to be religious, why can’t it pick what religion and decide not to contribute to something it totally doesn’t believe in? Like if it doesn’t believe in Obama, it shouldn’t have to donate to him, should it?
The ACLU is nothing more than a group of lawyers with opinions. It is not the say-so’er or decider on any given matter, beyond whether they believe there is a case and wish to handle it or not. They happen to think the HHS mandate is constitutional? Many think otherwise. The ACLU declaration isn’t the rule of law — it’s merely an opinion. Everyone has one — including them.
A Future World Remembered
Some believe the morning sun hides somewhere behind the iron walls of a future world many thought never to be, but none know for sure. It, too, perhaps was destroyed in those days of madness and banned from existence as so many things became outlawed and demonized for the profit of the few. The few who thought they had the answers to all things and blessed with the ability to lift their vile lives to the royalty of the gods.
The moments of the elite scorched the earth and danced in joy, as it watched the masses withered into a broken people struggling desperately to survive one moment to the next. And then it was over.
An army of the faithful fools, who had given the elite their death blow of wealth and power, rose up from the devastation they had blindly carried out and demanded their due. The elite laughed. Did any truly believe their deceitful word to be true and meant?
The laughter was swiftly silenced, as the army of revenge lashed out to crush the ruling ones. Some died in agony, while others fled to face a slow death of their own creation. For in those last moments, locked from their hoards of abundance, they, too, faced the man-made scarcity of necessities they had imposed upon their unwilling subjects. And, as their cries of utter torment reached into the moment of defeat, there was no mercy to embrace or to ease. It was for them what they had so excitedly bestowed upon those restricted from the celebrity of the self-proclaimed enlightenment.
There was no true delight, except by those whose hearts dined on the fruits of revenge, for as the last cry echoed against the walls of deceit and ignorance, the knowledge that only a few might survive was the only thing left abundant. Time was little. Hope was none. There was no sun shining to bid a new day. No sun to scare away the demons and the hopelessness of reality remembered. No sun to cast a shadow to hide the hideous knowledge sucking the life from all.
It could have been different. The madness could have been stopped. If only it had been, before it was too late.

The “Fiscal Cliff” Fall-Out: No Free Ride for Us
Many of us don’t get to put off paying bills or lift our debt ceiling via threat of throwing a tantrum or simply because we won’t take “no” for an answer. Most of us have to live by strict rules of paying our bills or paying the price for failure to do so. Why then does the government get a free ride on their responsibility and leave us negatively affected by their failure to live up to it?
When the dust settles, will the all-knowing supporters of ObamaCare finally see all that was in that bill that they didn’t read or understand? They, too, should have to shoulder the very same cost the rest of us do and receive medical care equal to the lowliest of citizens. If it is good enough for us — it is good enough for the government people who forced it upon us. It’s time they pay for the choices they make, rather than getting the free ride and leaving us stuck with their grievous and unnecessary mistakes.
Maybe if those failing to represent the people have to share in the results of their carelessness and disregard, they will no longer be so careless and have some regard for the outcome. Maybe then, they will understand the extent and seriousness of the “fiscal cliff” fall-out and come to realize — this isn’t a game! This is real life with real consequences affecting real people!
Game over. Time to stop playing make-believe.
Bobby Schindler Files Petition Requesting to be Gary Harvey’s Guardian
Bobby Schindler, brother of the late Terri Schiavo, has filed a petition in the New York Supreme Court – Chemung County asking guardianship of Gary Harvey be turned over to him. How can the County refuse to resign or disagree with the petition? How could they dare say this guardianship transfer would not be in the best interest of Gary Harvey? Legitimately, they can’t.
Should the County fight Bobby Schindler’s effort, then the County (and those involved in the case on their side), shall have been proven to have lied to the court and the community. The County claimed it did not want to be Gary’s guardian, but there was no one else. Now there is. So, if they fight to retain guardianship, that means there is an ulterior motive for doing so. After all, just why would they fight so desperately to retain a ward they didn’t want in the first place or thereafter; have warehoused; and, seem to think is bothersome and time consuming in the isolation and hide the information (from his wife) health care plan they have prepared for him?
Bobby Schindler has an impeccable reputation. He is knowledgeable about TBI (traumatic brain injury). He has first-hand experience in dealing with a family member suffering from TBI. He is compassionate and caring. He is hopeful and realistic. Just what part of all that he is, could the County honestly say is not good enough to be guardian of Gary Harvey? Can we say – none?
Time will tell us what the County will do. Let’s hope they choose the honorable path and agree it is in the best interest of Gary Harvey to appoint Bobby Schindler his guardian. It is, after all, the right thing to do!
